CFPA is pleased to announce a grant from the Guilford Foundation to assist with construction of a boardwalk and overlook platform at the New England Trail’s southern gateway at Guilford’s Chittenden Park on the Long Island Sound. The grant, totaling $10,000 over 3 years, will be instrumental in developing a sustainably constructed and handicap-accessible trail to the Sound.

On Saturday, March 30, five WesCFPA members teamed up with six members from Wesleyan's Alpha Delta Phi Society to tackle the formidable pile of lumber behind the tool shed at Highlawn Forest.
2013 is the 100 year anniversary of the State Park System, which has grown to include 107 State Parks including iconic places such as Gillette Castle State Park, Hammonasset and Rocky Neck Beach State Parks, Harkness Memorial State Park, Sleeping Giant State Park, Talcott Mountain State Park, and many others.
