New Video Released on 100 Year State Park Centennial

The Friends of CT State Parks have funded a video featuring the Centennial Celebration of the State Park System at the Capitol. View the video here to see which legislators have adopted State Parks and what some of them said on camera.

On Saturday, March 30, five WesCFPA members teamed up with six members from Wesleyan's Alpha Delta Phi Society to tackle the formidable pile of lumber behind the tool shed at Highlawn Forest.

50 State Legislators Adopt State Parks

2013 is the 100 year anniversary of the State Park System, which has grown to include 107 State Parks including iconic places such as Gillette Castle State Park, Hammonasset and Rocky Neck Beach State Parks, Harkness Memorial State Park, Sleeping Giant State Park, Talcott Mountain State Park, and many others.

The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) is pleased to announce the completion of 10 episodes of “Tales from the Trails,” a series of videos showcasing the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trail System in Connecticut.
