Saugatuck Trail- Animal Danger Advisory

A pair of goshawks are reportedly nesting adjacent to the Saugatuck Trail in Redding (map SK-2) south of the Rt. 53 causeway. The birds are very aggressive and territorial. Hikers have reported being attacked by the birds in recent weeks. Hikers should take special care on the trail, especially if hiking with children.
