QUINNIPIAC TRAIL- HAMDEN

Where the Quinnipiac Trail goes onto Rocky Top then into the woods, new plans have not been established yet. Hikers that know the area still use that clear cutted area but we are recommending that hikers stay on Rocky Top Rd until Sherman Avenue then walk North on the bike path to West Woods Rd where they can pick up the Quinnipiac Trail again and continue towards Sleeping Giant State Park.

The Quinnipiac University project, where the trail intersects Kimberly Road, is complete but just down the road is a major road realignment project. This is part of the reason for our recommendation to stay on Rocky Top Road.
