Description:
Page 110 of Connecticut Walk Book East
The trailhead on Hill St. is being relocated. The trail north from Hill St. to Boulder Junction is closed. The trailhead is in the process of being relocated to Birch Mt. Rd. .3 mile from Hebron Ave. Parking location is described on page 111 of the Walk Book. Do not park on Hill St. The relocated trailhead is found by turning left out of the parking area and will be on your right. The Trail passes through open woods with many stone walls, crosses under power lines, enters the woods and crosses a brook. It briefly turns to the west and at the base of a ridge, it joins the Gay City Connector (blue & white). It then turns north and slabs up the ridge, at the top it again turns west and in several hundred feet reaches the glacial bolder and rejoins the the old route of the Shenipsit and heads north.
