Dear Trail User:

The blue-blazed hiking trail system is designated as not only a non-motorized, hiking trail system per Connecticut State Statute Section 23-10a, but the entire system is also designated as a Connecticut State Greenway.

The New England Trail, a national scenic trail, was additionally designated as a non-motorized trail as part of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009, Section 5202.

These trails have been constructed specifically for non-motorized uses and are not designed to support off-road power-driven mobility devices.
