Every year since 1897, CFPA has provided an "Agenda for Connecticut's Land and People" and has worked with legislative and community leaders at the Municipal, State and Federal government levels to achieve it. Recent priorities include the following:
- securing adequate funding for the Forest and Park programs of the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP);
- supporting programs/funding that support working forests and agricultural lands; and
- protecting compatible uses of hiking trails.
